Sherlock Squared

Here is my #vacationwriting project: Sherlock Squared here at Archive of our Own (I have a version on FanFiction.net but it needs updating).

The summary:

The Doctor and his companion Donna are drawn to a new exhibit at the British Museum featuring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. But the event is a trap set by the Doctor’s arch-nemsis the Master, who uses a doomsday device to trap them in a bubble universe threatening to collapse if they can’t disarm the device. But the keys to disarming the bomb have been sent into two other universes — based on media adaptations of the famous writer’s work that both seem quite real to characters inside them. They are forced to rely on Sherlock and John, and Watson and Holmes to get the pieces back. Only problem is that the Holmes have switched universes. Will they overcome their handicaps and get the pieces together in time to save all three of their worlds?

The story takes place after:

1. The Doctor Who episode THE UNICORN AND THE WASP
2. Both Sherlock Homes movies, shortly after the end of GAME OF SHADOWS
3. The BBC Sherlock episode THE HOUNDS OF BASKERVILLE

I had a hell of a good time writing it, and the research was not hard on the eyes. I shouldn’t be this pleased with something but here I am, and here it is.
